Water Table
The water table is a wonderful way to infuse some sensory experience during theme learning or just for fun.
Tools: Anything! Be creative and change it up: measuring cups, spoons, paint brushes, cups, boats, cotton balls...and on and on.
Benefits: vocabulary development, teaching math concepts such as volume, science experiments such as sink or float
Vocabulary: The vocabulary will be tailored to your theme and is most effective when focusing on three - five words at a time over the course of the theme. Some basic vocabulary words for water play are: water, cool, warm, cold, scoop, pour, brush, sink, float, bubbles, etc.
