Literacy Learning
"Learning is not attained by chance. It must be sought for with ardor and attended to with diligence."
A Book About Me
What would be more meaningful to a child than reading a book about himself or his family or friends. When books all about the child are created, it is something they want to read again and again. They experience the repeated vocabulary in the context of their personal experiences. They learn other literacy skills like left to right and top to bottom. Younger children can help tell about the pictures and older children can help write about the pictures.
