Art Learning
"Genius is supposed to be a power of producing excellences which are put of the reach of the rules of art: a power which no precepts can teach, and which no industry can acquire."
— Sir Joshua Reynolds
There are so many benefits to art. It can be used to extend thematic learning, help children calm down when they are upset, get an insight into what children are thinking or feeling and it's fun for children! Every child will approach art differently. Art can be created following a pattern and some children will prefer that or it can be something they create on their own when given a variety of materials. Both approaches have value.
