Theme Learning
"You can teach a student a lesson for a day; but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as he lives."

Japan
Japanese Friendship Gardens
We have a special connection to Japan. My husband lived there for a couple of years when he was younger. I wanted to bring some of that culture into our home because of his experiences there. This is an ongoing theme for us that we are developing over time. There are certain recipes we make and we visited the Japanese Friendship Gardens in Phoenix which provided a little culture. My kids and I really like Japanese drum music, so we have some of that music that we listen to. We are working on coming up with other ways that work with our family that are fun to share some of the Japanese culture with our kids.
